Maida Vale School provides its students with a curriculum that is engaging, relevant and challenging and which will ensure they are fully prepared for life beyond school: confident, adaptable, interesting, happy people. Our well-rounded education is delivered by dedicated, supportive specialist teachers who love their subjects and relish instilling a love of learning in their students.
Teaching and Learning at Maida Vale School is at the forefront of what we do. Weekly staff professional development enables staff to digest, discuss and demonstrate the most current pedagogical research and strategies, allowing teachers to confidently deliver creative and innovative lessons day after day.
An innovative and successful Gardener Schools’ Group concept is the structure of our school day: we have four 90-minute lessons per day. Creating a calm and focused learning environment, this structure allows students to develop their learning and demonstrate their understanding without the rush and chaos often experienced in schools where 35, 40 or even 60-minute lessons take place. At Maida Vale School, the 90-minute lessons mean our committed teachers thoughtfully plan a multitude of tasks and resources aimed at maintaining attention, curiosity and rigorous outcomes.
All of the learning that takes place at Maida Vale School happens in classrooms in which our Learning Values are firmly embedded.
