Our enrichment education seeks to unlock students’ potential both intellectually. We do this by encouraging our students to get involved with all sorts of events, trips, workshops both on and off site at Maida Vale School.

Our enrichment activities are deliberately chosen to develop both mind and character. We invite public figures from all walks of life to share their insights and experiences. Recent speakers have The Poet Laureate Simon Armitage who ran workshops with our Year 8 and 9. He also gave a reading of his poems to parents, pupils, friends and family in the evening.

We have a supportive parent community who, alongside running social events, give talks called ‘Parent Perspectives’, about their careers in medicine, theatre, banking, architecture to mention a few.

Our central London location gives us access to some of the world’s leading educational institutions. Visits to The Tate Modern, National Gallery, V&A and West End theatres are integral to our teaching and enrichment.

Off site trips both overseas and in the UK include sports tours and for our Year 7, a 4 day PGL course in Dorset to give our new intake time outside school to bond as a group, have fun and learn new skills. A timetabled Enrichment Program also runs daily, offering a choice of over 36 clubs, societies, and sports, both paid and unpaid. This diverse array of opportunities ensures that our students have an enriching educational experience during their time with us.
