Step by Step Guide to Sixth Form Admission

Step 1: Attend An Open Morning

It is always advisable before registering for any school to attend an Open Event. We organise dedicated Sixth Form Open Mornings where staff and more importantly members of our current Sixth Form will be on hand to show you around the school and answer any questions you may have.

After coffee a brief talk is given by our Head of Sixth Form and Headmaster and then you and your child will be taken on a tour of the school.

Step 2: Register For a Place

If you decide, and we hope you will, after visiting the us that Maida Vale School is the right place for your child to continue their education post GCSE then it is necessary to register for a place no later than the November before they take their exams. That is November of Year 11.

Step 3: Interview

Students will be invited for an interview with senior staff and relevant subject teachers, based on the information provided on their completed form. There will be an opportunity to see the facilities and meet our current Sixth Form students. We will confirm subject choices at interview and these will be included in the offer letter.

Step 4: Offer

Offers will be made after all required documentation is received and the interview has taken place. All offers will be conditional on the student achieving the minimum entry requirements for their chosen subjects.

If you are unsuccessful in receiving an offer from us, you are invited to remain on our reserve list and we may be able to make an offer to you at a later time
