There is an onsite surgery staffed by a dedicated school nurse.

The school nurse is an invaluable member of the team who looks after the students healthcare needs. They organise the First Aid kits for sports matches and games lessons – ensuring that any minor injury can be quickly alleviated. For some children there will be a health issue that requires the administration of medication during the day. Our surgery keep this medication secure and safe as well as ensuring the correct dose is taken at the right time.

Parents and carers are asked to inform the school of any medical conditions as and when they arise. Where there are specific medical needs together with the parents/carers the school nurse will put together a healthcare plan.

The surgery is also responsible for looking after students epi-pens and inhalers.

Maida Vale School is completely nut free as we have students who suffer from severe allergies.
