Headmaster’s Welcome

We are a vibrant, energetic and exciting school. We teach our students to be creative, think critically and challenge ideas while learning to respect the opinions of others, to become people who are intellectually curious and socially conscious.

Since opening in 2020, we have steadily managed our growth aiming to reach capacity at 600 boys and girls aged 11-18. Small class sizes and Personal Tutors ensure our students receive individual attention and are encouraged to make the most of the opportunities we have on offer.

As a part of The Gardener Schools Group, we have extended access to knowledge, insights, learning and facilities.

We believe a child’s education is a shared responsibility. One that works best when all parties are engaged – school, parents and the students themselves. Therefore we operate an ‘open door’ culture where parents can drop in at any time, for any reason – be it a cup of coffee with friends to catching up with a teacher to talk about their child’s progress.

Why not visit us and see for yourself, we look forward to welcoming you at one of next Open Mornings.

About Us

Maida Vale School is a warm and supportive community that combines innovative teaching with state-of-the-art-facilities.

We are ambitions for our students but are more of a greenhouse than a hothouse. We believe the best way for children to reach their potential, personally and academically, is when they are nurtured and inspired.

We are part of the family-owned Gardener Schools Group which includes Ravenscourt Park Prep School, Kew Green Prep School and Kew House School. Together we share knowledge, resources, contacts and a passion for education.

Maida Vale School, like all GSG Schools, operates an ‘Open Door’ policy. This is because we believe a child’s education is a shared responsibility, one that works best when all parties are engaged – school, parents and the students themselves.

Our innovative timetable of 90 minute lessons and three-year GCSE courses provides deeper subject knowledge which is underpinned by our impressive enrichment programme.

Smaller class sizes and a unique pastoral care system means every child is known individually. Students are assigned a Personal Tutor on arrival who remains their mentor, sounding board and guide throughout their time at Maida Vale School, forming the backbone of support for both academic learning and personal development.
