The advent of Artificial Intelligence and super computers will shape and change our futures in unimaginable ways. The teaching of Computer Science at Maida Vale School is done with the latest in IT equipment in specialist laboratory adjacent to the CAD CAM and Design Technology Workshop. All the lessons are taught by a subject specialist who additionally runs popular after school activities in coding and robotics.
There is also a strong link between the Design Technology and Computer Science Departments at Maida Vale School. The two subjects will often arrange workshops, trips and visits where coding and computers are integral to creativity and design technology. This way our students can see the real world application of the written code. Basic introduction to coding is taught in our Year 7 and it is a popular subject choice for GCSE.
